Meet Isabel Fernandes, LCSW
I have worked in the mental health field in a variety of different settings since 2018. Originally from New Jersey, I earned my degrees from Rutgers University. My experience spans inpatient psychiatric care, substance abuse detox and rehabilitation, and outpatient clinics.
I’ve been fortunate enough to witness people make remarkable, life-changing growth. In order to provide you with the best care, I prioritize training, education and cultural competency to make sure I am up to date on current research and treatment approaches. My therapy style is always open minded, challenging (no bullshit), and humorous. Your confidentially and safety are at the forefront of all of our sessions.
Outside of being a therapist, I love being in nature. I spend my free time hiking, camping, paddleboarding, yoga or playing with my dog. Throughout my own journey, I was fortunate to work with incredible therapists who held space for me to work through my own issues, and challenged me to grow. I believe we all deserve that—the opportunity to be seen and accepted as we are while being encouraged to evolve.
